Thanks Rakesh, I’m glad it was of some help to you – when I’d started the blog, my goal was to keep the process as transparent as possible – many clients like to see how it works and I’ve been attempting to create some case studies as well with as much detail from the project as possible.

hey naina

i love ur work.. some, i do understand what it stands for, but the rest r either confusing or doesn’t make sense to me at all.. I’m not saying it really doesn’t mean anything.. it just me, i cant figure it out.. it should be mainly because i don’t even know what some of those companies do for a living!! :D
Anyway, Im into logo designing myself.. i just started though. have done only one logo design so far.. so it would be a gr8 help if u would plz tell me what all would ‘you’ consider before starting the designing process for the concerned company..
cz i got a request from a friend who is starting a company. but the guy doesn’t have an idea about how the logo should be.. all he told me was what his company actually does!! well i know im pretty good with designing things, but since im new in this field, i obviously need some help so tht i can get a good start!!

Hey Sandy,
Thanks for the helium :D
Yeah, I know about not getting all of the designs – I need to be a better write I believe. I’ve been concentrating on spelling out the actual design process than describing better the intangible process of understanding the company / the client.

I would consider the creative brief. I’ve uploaded it here : take a look and send it out to your client / friend. Interpretation of that brief would depend on what kind of a designer you are, how you use your imagination and creativity – THAT’s something I can’t relaly help you with though.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you need something else.

wow!!
its.. a bit confusing.. but i believe i can crack the code. i jus need a bit more time.. anyway i’ll forward the brief to my friend.. mayb he’ll be enlightened with its help.. i just hope i could design a logo which actually means something in reference to the company, nd of course somthing thats got a gr8 deal of visual appeal too!!
thnx for ur help anyway, i probably might be coming bac for more!!:)

hey naina

thnx a lot for th brief thingy again.. my frnd send me th answers to those questions.. he fill a couple of them.. but watever he filled in gave me clearer vision.. now v r close to finding wat hes lookin for in his logo exactly..
P.S. the question tht compares th logo to a person had the gr8est effect!!
